Sunset at Semakau

Yup it was a really cool trip. A pity my Chek Jawa foray was in the Pre-Digicam Era; can't compare shots. But I saw more stuff at Semakau thanks to the 'wildlife hunters'. Lookin' fwd to more fun treks!

Still on the Semakau thread, this is my favourite picture taken on this nature ramble. It's amazing (or rather, appalling) how close Pulau Bukom's oil refineries are to Semakau's inter-tidal zones. Imagine - an industrial spillage can easily wipe out our precious and humble patch of biodiversity!

So grab your friends, relatives, grandparents and little pets to visit Semakau and various other nature spots in Singapore before URA decides to encroach on NEA and NParks' turf. Literally.

Here's my favourite pic from Semakau, a large Moon Crab along the mud flats and a smaller one next to it. Cool creature with 10 paddle-like legs.

Boat ride to the island was interesting too...
